Every month BIL members and friends select a different area to clean up. The BIL has an adopt-a-spot on Fifth St. and Long Creek in Buckroe. The BIL also participates in the Chesapeake Bay Foundation Clean the Bay Day and the International Coastal CleanupFollow us on Facebook for monthly dates. Just an hour of your time makes a big difference in our neighborhood and waterways.​

The Buckroe Community Garden

Community gardening improves people’s quality of life by providing a catalyst for neighborhood and community development, stimulating social interaction, encouraging self-reliance, beautifying neighborhoods, producing nutritious food, reducing family food budgets, conserving resources, and creating opportunities for recreation, exercise, therapy, and education.
