The Buckroe Improvement League has received multiple requests from residents to change the city ordinance that prohibits dogs on the beach and boardwalk during summer months. (May 15 – September 15) Please copy and paste this letter and send in an email to city council members to change the ordinance, 19-0009 Sec. 7-49, found here.
Dear Hampton City Council Members,
I am writing to request that you amend the city ordinance which currently prohibits dogs on the boardwalk and beach from May 15 – September 15. I am in favor of authorizing leashed dogs under control of their owner on the boardwalk/beach from 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. and from 6:00 p.m. – sunset from May 15 – September 15.
